Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Q. Do you accommodate vegetarians, non-raw fish requests, or food allergies?

A. Yes, we do!

Please inform us in advance, and we will prepare customized ingredients for your needs, including:

  • Guests who don’t eat raw fish
  • Vegetarian options
  • Halal-friendly ingredients (for Muslim guests)
  • Kosher-friendly ingredients (for Jewish guests)
  • Allergy-friendly options (e.g. gluten-free)
Q. Where will the sushi-making class take place?

A. We arrange a private venue for each booking based on your schedule, group size, and transportation needs. We carefully select locations considering:

  • Convenient access from your itinerary
  • Sufficient space for your group size
  • Bus parking availability nearby
  • Walking distance from the nearest station
Q. Can we arrange our own venue for the sushi workshop?

A. Yes, we can hold the class at your preferred venue. However, certain conditions must be met regarding layout, equipment (e.g. sinks, projectors), and food handling permissions. We will coordinate directly with the venue manager to confirm availability.

Q. Are drinks included in the sushi-making experience?

A. Bottled water is included. If requested, we can also arrange additional soft drinks. Please note that alcoholic beverages are generally not permitted due to venue restrictions.

Q. Do you provide any food other than sushi?

A. No additional dishes (such as miso soup or snacks) are included. However, you will make enough sushi to enjoy as a full meal, so you won’t leave hungry.

Q. Are meals included for tour guides?

A. Yes, we provide one complimentary sushi meal for any accompanying tour guide.

Q. Can children join the sushi-making class?

A. Yes, children aged 8 and above are welcome. Our Tokyo sushi-making experience is family-friendly and designed to be fun for both kids and adults.

Q. Why are the starting times limited to 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM?

A. The class includes making and eating sushi, and we schedule it to align with lunch or dinner times for the best experience. Starting outside these windows often leads to food waste, and we are committed to reducing food loss as part of our sustainability efforts.

Q. Where should we park our bus during the sushi class?

A. Our venues do not have dedicated parking. During the workshop, please arrange for your bus to wait nearby or use a local bus parking facility.

Q. Can non-English-speaking groups join if we bring an interpreter?

A. Since our instructors provide explanations and safety instructions in English, participants must have at least basic English comprehension. For safety reasons – especially when handling knives – all participants are required to understand simple instructions in English. Groups with no English ability may not be eligible, even if accompanied by an interpreter.

Q. Do you offer commissions for travel agencies?

A. We’re sorry, but we do not offer commissions to travel agencies. However, we have worked with many travel operators to create custom Tokyo sushi-making experiences for groups and study tours.
