Workshop Flow
Kick off the workshop with a fun sushi trivia quiz! Participants learn about sushi etiquette, culture, and interesting facts while breaking the ice with teammates. Which team will get the highest score?

Work in teams to create three different types of sushi. This friendly competition encourages collaboration and creativity as teams compete to make the most beautiful and delicious sushi. Who will impress the judges the most?

Between activities, enjoy a mini-lesson where you’ll learn the secret to perfectly seasoned sushi rice, the fascinating history of sushi, and useful Japanese phrases commonly used during meals. Even locals often discover something new!

Time to enjoy the sushi you made together. Sharing the meal deepens the sense of connection and team spirit.

We wrap up the workshop with an award ceremony! Based on quiz scores, sushi quality, and teamwork, the best-performing team will receive a special prize. Who will take the crown?

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q. Do you accommodate vegetarians, non-raw fish requests, or food allergies?
A. Yes, we do!
Please inform us in advance, and we will prepare customized ingredients for your needs, including:
- Guests who don’t eat raw fish
- Vegetarian options
- Halal-friendly ingredients (for Muslim guests)
- Kosher-friendly ingredients (for Jewish guests)
- Allergy-friendly options (e.g. gluten-free)
Q. Do you offer English support?
A. Yes. Our instructors provide explanations in English, and all presentation slides are also in English. Even if participants are not fluent, the workshop is designed to be highly interactive and easy to follow using visual slides and demonstration videos.
Q. For on-site workshops, how many staff members will come? Do organizers need to assist?
A. We usually assign 1 instructor per 10 participants. Organizers are only asked to introduce the venue usage rules at the start. After that, our team will handle everything, including setup and cleanup — no additional assistance is required.
Q. What equipment is required for an on-site sushi workshop?
A. When hosting an on-site workshop, we kindly ask to borrow the following:
- A suitable event space (e.g., meeting room or cafeteria)
- Tables and chairs for all participants
- One extra work table for our staff
- A projector and screen, or a large monitor TV with HDMI input
- Access to a sink (simple facilities are sufficient, used for washing dishes)
Q. How many hours should we reserve the venue for?
A. The workshop itself takes 2 hours, but we need 1 hour before for setup and 1 hour after for cleanup. For example, if the workshop runs 11:00–13:00, please reserve the space from 10:00–14:00. If you need to use the venue for meetings before or after, we can adjust the schedule or arrange a separate preparation area upon request.
Q. Do we need to arrange parking for your staff?
A.
- For groups of up to 30 participants, our team usually travels by train, so no parking is needed.
- For groups of over 30 participants, we may arrive by car and will normally use nearby coin-operated parking.
If your company has guest parking available, providing access would be appreciated.
Q. How do you handle equipment delivery for on-site workshops?
A. We bring everything in suitcases and do not use carts. In most office buildings, we can enter through the main entrance. If your building requires special delivery documents or pre-registration, please let us know in advance.
Q. If we choose an external venue, where will it be?
A. If an on-site workshop is not possible, we will arrange a suitable rental external venue based on your needs. We carefully select the location based on:
- Proximity to your schedule and accommodations
- Adequate space for all participants
- Nearby roads suitable for bus access, if applicable
- Convenient walking distance from the nearest station We provide flexible solutions to match your preferences.
Q. Can you host the workshop at a hotel meeting room?
A. Yes, we can visit your hotel meeting room; however, please note that hotels often restrict bringing in outside food due to hygiene regulations. Because many hotels decline permission, we recommend considering an external venue instead.
Q. Are drinks included?
A. We provide bottled water for all participants. For other beverages, you are welcome to arrange your own drinks, including alcohol. Many groups enjoy a toast with their own beverages after making sushi.
Please note: some external venues prohibit alcohol, so let us know in advance if you plan to bring it.
Q. Can we arrange additional food besides sushi?
A. The workshop focuses on making sushi only.
While you can arrange light snacks like pizza, we prepare enough sushi to satisfy adults, so we generally recommend keeping extra food minimal to avoid waste.
Q. How far in advance should we book?
A. Ideally, please contact us 2 months in advance to secure your preferred date.
Bookings 2 weeks in advance may still be possible, depending on staff and venue availability. For large groups (30+ participants), we strongly recommend booking as early as possible.
Q. Why are the workshop start times fixed at 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM?
A. The sushi-making workshop includes preparing a full meal and is designed so participants enjoy eating about 1.5 hours after starting. Outside lunch and dinner hours, leftover food tends to increase.
As part of our food loss reduction efforts, we limit start times to:
- Lunch sessions: Start between 10:00 AM–12:00 PM
- Dinner sessions: Start between 4:00 PM–6:00 PM
Q. What are the payment options?
A. By default, we issue an invoice after the workshop. You may choose between bank transfer or credit card payment.
For credit cards, we will send a secure payment link via email. If required, we can also adjust the payment due date to match your company’s internal process.
